The power of music
Music is such an amazing thing. I think it is one of the greatest perks of life. Music has the power to make you feel alive like nothing else can. I am always looking for the new song that makes me feel so amazing. Have you ever heard a song that just made you want to dance. Then once you have listend to that song a few times it can get old and fast. That is why it is important to take a few minutes every day to branch out and try some new music. Do it once a week or month if you are to busy for a daily time slot.

The importance of Physical Fitness
I have talked about working out many times in this blog. If you want to feel great on the inside and outside you need to workout. Find something that is fun for you to do. One day a week I try to run around in the yard with my niece and nephew being a zombie. You would never guess but being a zombie works a fierce cardio workout.
I know a lot of people do not want to listen to this but sometimes all it takes is a little motivation. I stumbled across this article a while ago and it motivated me.

stretch it up
In its most basic form, stretching is a natural and instinctive activity; it is performed by humans and many other animals. It can be accompanied by yawning. Stretching often occurs instinctively after waking from sleep, after long periods of inactivity, or after exiting confined spaces and areas.
A study of soccer players showed a group who did dynamic warm up exercises and static stretches had fewer knee injuries than one that did neither. Stretching stabilizes the body's natural balance and posture, and aligns the joints leading to better coordination.
so get your stretch on. I love thing like this that are free and good for you. Best of all it takes little effort.

Do something for yourself
In this fast paced world we can get so wrapped up in day to day life and forget about the little things. Especially parents I am talking to you. Don't forget to do the things that make you happy.

Did you know
Did you know that when you donate to charity it so good for your body as well. It lowers your heart rate and blood pressure. Donating leaves you with a lasting high that is good for you. In fact I read recently that even thinking about donating time, money or even anything of use releases endorphin's and makes you feel Like A Million Bucks.
So take the time to think of others just think of others. It is free you have no excuse. If you take a little time to think of others than maybe you can find some way to help or your fellow man.

Read A Book
Read a book and not just any book. A book that takes you away for a little while.I just recently read the hunger games and was so obsessed I created a blog. Although I usually do try to read a little bit of pride and prejudice every night. I am always on the look out for that book that appeals to me.
Reading stimulates your mind like crazy. The more you read the more you raise your IQ. Reading can give you a different outlook on life. Helping you to count your blessings.
I used to think of reading as a chore and sometimes it still feels that way. I know now that reading will not feel like a chore if it is the right material. So if you have not put out any effort to read in a while. Start with something that rely sounds cool to you. I recommend the Hunger Games.

The power of a smile
Remember a smile can go a long way. Smiling lowers your blood pressure and releases endorphin's into your body. A smile makes you feel better all around and most important it can lift someone else up when they are feeling down.
When two people are together and one smiles the other subconsciously mimics. Just like how yawning is contagious. So if you see someone a little down try to do a lot of smiling around them and maybe it will brighten your day.

The importance of a workout
Physical fitness I know you don't want to hear but it is so important.This is my number one secret to feeling like a million bucks. I know it is very hard to start working out. It was hard for me to. It is so hard to get the motivation but when you make the commitment to do it 6 days a week it is worth it. Start smaller if you want. A good goal is ten minutes a day. Ten minutes is what I started with .
I don't suggest an hour workout at first but I love this picture. it rely puts things in perspective for me.
Don't let your workout go unappreciated. If you have a new smart you can download the cardio trainer or any other number of apps that can track your steps and calories burned. Then you can always see how much you have worked out and feel good about what you have accomplished. If you don't have a phone then you should do a cardio as long as you can and keep track in a journal. Maybe think about getting a pedometer.
PERKS OF WORKING OUT
1. Healthier immune system and heart (less chance of heart attack)
2. Be in shape (who doesn't want to look good)
3. Releases endorphin's that literally make you feel like a million bucks
4. Things that are hard for you(IE: taking out the trash or mowing the lawn) will be so easy.
5. Live longer and feel happier
Do not eve give up. If you always strive to push yourself a little harder than you will always feel like a million bucks.

I would like to take a moment to say thank you to one of my heroes
One of my heroes is Peter Mcwilliams.
Such an amazing author I strongly recommend reading YOU CAN'T AFFORD THE LUXURY OF A NEGATIVE THOUGHT. This book changed my life. I read this book about three years ago and still try to read a few pages everyday. Peter Mcwilliams is a genius on positive thinking and teaches you how to change.

Give Your Heart A Break

I hope you are having a great day. I just want to take a moment and tell you that I think you should give your heart a break. If you are reading this blog then it is obvious you are trying to better your life. I rely believe if you try to better your life and create your own happiness. You will live a longer and happier life. so that is why I say give your heart a break. If you are reading this your trying and that is awesome.
Positive thinking is like a muscle. If you sit on the couch all the time and watch TV and then try to run a marathon. Its probably going to be the hardest thing you have ever encountered. The first time I tired positive thinking it was a major bust. I just wanted to feel sorry for myself the first half of my life. The more you work at it the easier it will get. Start slow with research about self improvement and positive thinking. I have heard many times happiness is a choice. I know life is not always easy. Doing the right thing is not always doing the right thing. But if you do not take the time to love and look for the beauty in this world no one is going to point it out to you. That is something you can not buy. To be able to count your blessings is a priceless virtue.

We all look back on our youth with areas of pure stupidity. If you dwell in past you will never move forward. Give your heart a break and feel good that you are trying.

Introduction
Hello my name is Ashley.
I am putting this blog together about thoughts and ideals I have had that have made me feel like a million bucks. Mostly Ideals to positive think. I believe in positive thinking so much. I recently read about a mental illness women can have that makes them show signs of pregnancy even though they are not pregnant. Their mind tricks their bodies into thinking its true. Then mind is a powerful thing.
You can change so much in your life just by changing your attitude. This is something I have learned the hard way from years of feeling sorry for myself and throwing a one man pitty party for my self. Usually just because I would be going to work. Now that I think about it years later I realize how stupid it is to negative think. It is a lot easier to just feel bad about a situation than it is to fight to feel good. Positive thinking is like a muscle. The more you work it the easier it becomes to use it.
